We try to be as eco-friendly as possible with our fabric choices in an effort to cool the globe, one bag at a time.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What are "In the Mesh" bags made out of? The fabrics we use include unbleached 100% cotton muslin and funky 100% cotton prints. The mesh window on the bags is 100% nylon.
- Are "In the Mesh" bags washable? Yes! Our bags can be hand or machine washed in cold water and hung to dry.
- Why should I use a reusable bag for my produce? Despite the efforts of retailers to move to non-plastic options, virtually every grocery store still uses plastic bags for produce. These bags get used for a very short period of time and then spend countless years leaching chemicals into our environment. Using an "In the Mesh" reusable produce bag is a fashionable way to help cool the globe and reduce the use of plastic bags.
- Can I store my produce in my "In the Mesh" bag? Absolutely! Since our bags are made from 100% breathable cotton, your produce can go directly from the store to your refrigerator.
- Will using a cloth bag weigh more on the produce scale? "In the Mesh" reusable produce bags are made from lightweight cotton, the weight of which is minimal. However, the bag weight is noted on the label of each bag.
- What other uses are there for my "In the Mesh" bag? The possiblities are endless! Take them to the bakery to carry fresh buns, or to the beach to carry toys, or as a birthday party loot bag....the list goes on and on! Our bags also make great gifts for teachers, housewarming, Mother's/Father's Day, etc.
